About Me
Hi! My name is Mohnish Palani, and I’m the founder of the MP Chess Coaching Program. At just 16 years old, I’ve dedicated over 6 years of my life to studying and competing in chess — a game I’m deeply passionate about.I currently hold a USCF peak rating of 1935 and a FIDE peak rating of 1770. Online, I’ve achieved 2600 in bullet, 2200 in blitz, and 2200 in rapid. You can find me playing regularly under my Lichess username: Chesswarriors12.Beyond competing, I also share my love for chess as a certified Twitch streamer over at Twitch, where I stream a few times each month. Over the years, I’ve proudly won multiple OTB (over-the-board) tournaments in both USCF and FIDE events — and I’m striving for even greater milestones ahead.Through this program, I aim not only to teach strategies and skills, but also to pass on my passion and excitement for the game to the next generation of players.
What We Do
At MP Chess Coaching Program, every lesson is designed to help you grow steadily and confidently as a chess player.Step 1: Complimentary AssessmentBefore your first full lesson, you’ll receive a free 30-minute trial session. This gives us a chance to play a few games together, assess your current level, and create a personalized plan just for you.Step 2: Customized TrainingOnce we know your strengths and areas for growth, lessons will be tailored to your needs. Training may include:-Fun and challenging puzzles-In-depth game analysis-Learning classic checkmate patterns-Building strong opening principles-Developing solid middlegame and endgame plansYou’ll also get weekly practice homework to keep improving between lessons.Step 3: Tournament PreparationIf you’re preparing for an over-the-board (OTB) tournament, special lessons can focus on sharpening your play and eliminating weaknesses. We’ll review your tournament games together to make sure you’re always learning and improving.Flexibility for You-You can always request lessons that focus on areas you feel weaker in.-All lessons are held on Lichess.org, with calls via Google Meet (preferred) or Zoom.Our goal is simple: to keep you in top shape both inside and outside of class, so you can think deeper, play smarter, and win more.
